New York City's oldest surviving bridge and newest pedestrian bridge; a site for information and a forum for those interested in its history, current activities and the future plans for the bridge, Highbridge Park, and the surrounding areas.
The City is proposing new bicycle lanes on Amsterdam Ave. up to Highbridge Park to open next year. This will coordinate with the newly opened bicycle lanes that will cross the High Bridge to the Bronx that will open sometime around the end of this year.
