The O’Hanlon – 2142 Amsterdam |
In 2012, CLOTH, Alembic, and Columbia University broke ground on 2142 Amsterdam between 166th and 167th Streets. The lot had previously been empty and useless to the community.
On May 19th, 2016 the building was completed. It was named “The O’Hanlon” to honor Tim O’Hanlon and his many years of service in affordable housing. The 44-unit supportive housing building is now completely rented, with a Services for the Underserved office in the basement.
The naming ceremony was attended by representatives from each of the contributing partners, community members and building tenants. Congratulations are in order!
